Abstract

This article examines the importance of scientific and methodological support for the development of human capital in the field of professional education in Ukraine. The relevance of this topic is especially highly emphasized due to the need for large‐ scale post‐war reconstruction, which requires the involvement of a significant number of workers. It has been investigated that the implementation of relevant educational practices, such as digitalization and project‐based learning, will contribute to the improvement of the quality of education and, therefore, will generally contribute to the development of human capital in the context of personal growth, social improvement and economic reconstruction. It is shown that broad and fundamental definitions of scientific activity are of great methodological importance for the development of research aimed at forming the theory and methodology of professional education. In this regard, the concept of human capital should be understood as a set of knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and intellectual potential of people, which they use in the production process and society in general. The main indicators of its characteristics are education, professional skills, creative potential and other physical and intellectual resources of people. In fact, the concept of human capital determines the reorientation of science from the problems of applying the labor potential to the issues of forming a quality workforce. The development of the system of postgraduate education and continuous professional training is an important aspect that is receiving more and more attention in Ukraine. The range of advanced training courses, master classes, trainings and other forms of professional training for teachers, instructors, masters of industrial training and other specialists is actively expanding in the country. These measures contribute to increasing the professional competence of employees, as well as updating their knowledge and skills, taking into account modern trends in professional education. The growing role of technologies also increases the requirements for the quality of labor potential and professional competences of workers, which necessitates investment in advanced training, modernization of professional training and development of concepts of continuous education or lifelong education.
