Abstract
The monograph analyzes the theoretical, methodological and methodical aspects of the development of the adult education system. The mission of education throughout life, its role in the social and welcoming context, the ability to provide an adult with knowledge, abilities and skills for action in response to social challenges are revealed. The foreign experience of adult education is highlighted, which is presented in three directions. The andragogical principles of adult education are revealed and the didactic principles of educational and andragogical activity are characterized. The publication is intended for scientific, scientific and pedagogical workers, practicing teachers, education managers, representatives of public organizations, all those who are interested in the problems of lifelong education and adult education.
