Abstract

Assessment of students' learning outcomes, as well as assessment of learning as learning (assessment learning) - both processes and outcomes - have long been in the focus of attention of the educational community not only in the EU but also around the world, and require a systematic approach to the development and implementation of new assessment tools. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought new challenges, especially in terms of ensuring continuous and transparent formative assessment of learning outcomes in distance learning, informing parents about their children's progress, and linking learning planning to student assessment and evaluative learning. The study of European experience can provide Ukrainian educators with effective tools for for assessing the learning outcomes of primary school students.
