Abstract

The article emphasizes the relevance of the principle of national orientation of education and upbringing. Its observance requires strengthening the Ukrainian-centric nature of aesthetic education as a factor in the formation of a nationally conscious, patriotic personality. The significance of the art of the Ukrainian diaspora as an important resource for updating and enriching the content of aesthetic education and art education at school is emphasized.
