Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of integrating the history of everyday life into the school history curriculum based on a research approach. According to the authors, the study of the history of everyday life helps enrich the understanding of the past and uncover a wide range of social, cultural, and domestic practices. The authors analyze works dedicated to both the features of studying the history of everyday life and the methodological aspects of addressing everyday life issues in history lessons. It is emphasized that the integration of the history of everyday life into the school history curriculum should occur comprehensively, simultaneously at three levels: content (content-oriented integration), activities (activity-based integration), and meanings and values (value-meaning integration). The article notes that when integrating the history of everyday life at the activity level, textbook authors and teachers should take into account the characteristics of the digital generation, particularly by using active learning methods that engage them in dialogue, discussions, and collaboration. An effective method of involving the digital generation children in studying the history of everyday life can be the application of interactive technologies and visualization techniques. According to the authors, a necessary condition for studying the history of everyday life is the implementation of a system of creative and research tasks involving various types of historical sources. Educational projects related to the exploration of everyday life in different historical periods are extremely effective as they allow students to apply their knowledge and skills in real life. The authors state that the presentation of the history of everyday life in school history textbooks expands students' understanding of the past and provides them with an opportunity to see how ordinary people lived, worked, learned, communicated, and entertained themselves in different historical periods. It helps students to connect, experience the image of the era, and see a specific individual within it, thus understanding the system of social values.
