Abstract

In the monograph, the evaluation of medical technologies is considered as a multidisciplinary process of implementing scientific knowledge to substantiate effective decisions in health care. The socio-historical prerequisites for the development of the assessment of medical technologies in the world are highlighted; a semantic analysis of the definition "medical technology" was carried out; the principles of medical technologies are defined and their role at the state level is characterized. The authors focused attention on the importance of personnel support for the implementation of medical technology assessment - professional training of experts. The importance of evidence-based medicine for the strategic development of the modern health care system, its connection with the evaluation of medical technologies and pharmacoeconomics is substantiated. The presentation of applied aspects of pharmacoeconomic research in the assessment of medical technologies gives the integrity of the monograph. The monograph is intended for students of institutions of higher medical and pharmaceutical education, masters and postgraduate students, students of postgraduate medical and pharmaceutical education. Theoretical material can be used by students of post-graduate medical and pharmaceutical education, performers and users of HTA: applicants, business entities that prepare applications and dossiers for the inclusion of medicinal products in their regulatory lists; persons who make management decisions in the health care system; managers of health care structural units; scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions, doctors, pharmaceutical workers, patient organizations, etc.
