Abstract

The author emphasizes the use of a fairly large arsenal of various digital tools in the organization of the educational process in higher education institutions. At the same time, it points to the existing gap between generations - between those who teach (pre-digital generation) and those who learn (digital generation). Its manifestation was demonstrated during Covid-19 and in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine. The perception of the world, thinking, motivation, lifestyle of the digital generation has its own characteristics, which must be taken into account when determining goals, approaches, principles of content selection, choosing forms, methods and technologies. It is emphasized that the development of the digital transformation of the economy and education makes significant adjustments to the target and content orientations of the professional training of future teachers of pedagogical institutions of higher education.
