Abstract
The educational and methodological manual summarizes the materials of the applied scientific research "Readiness of the Older Preschool Child for Learning in the Conditions of Ukrainian School Reform" (2021 - 2023). The comparative analysis of the theoretical and applied foundations of the diagnostic assessment of a child's readiness for schooling is presented. Universal diagnostic tools are described. The methodical recommendations for the organization of psychological and pedagogical support and support for the child's development based on a balanced approach to assessing the child's readiness for schooling in the conditions of modern changes and reforming the primary education system are highlighted. The educational and methodological manual is addressed to specialists in preschool and primary education, students of psychological and pedagogical specialties, and students of advanced training courses at Postgraduate Pedagogical Education Institutes.
