Abstract

The materials outline the main provisions and results of the scientific research «Readiness of a Сhild of Older Preschool Age to Study in the Conditions of Ukrainian School Reform». In particular, the analysis of the data of the experimental part of the research is presented. The data were collected as a result of the approbation of a universal diagnostic tool. The determining criterion of the diagnostic tool is the competence approach to the end-to-end knowledge, abilities, and skills of a child of preschool and primary school age, as opposed to quantitative indicators of the child's development in individual educational areas. The publication may interest scientists and practitioners of age and pedagogical psychology, preschool and primary education, state and local government chiefs, teachers, and graduate students.
