Abstract

The main goal of Orthodox pedagogy is to prepare a person for eternal life through churchization: introducing him to the life of the Church, forming the skills of spiritual life, a stable Christian worldview, understanding the world and man in the light of Divine Revelation, developing spiritual abilities, nurturing Christian feelings and will. Among the means of Orthodox pedagogy in prisons, the following are most often used: worship, spiritual talks, sacraments, Sunday school classes, joint activities of the Orthodox community of convicts, creativity of convicts, familiarization with the best examples of Orthodox culture, prayer and fasting.
