Abstract

The theoretical aspects of the problem of the formation of historical memory in children and youth as a component of national self-identification and an element of modern Ukrainian national security policy in the field of education are substantiated. Based on state documents, the expediency of expanding the practice of celebrating jubilee dates and commemorating historical figures - national symbols, with the goal of consolidating and forming the historical consciousness of Ukrainian youth, is shown, provided that the forms of such work are creatively modernized.
