Abstract

A real ascending basis of the existence and self-development of the individual ("unit") has been established, which is represented by a special life-creating principle - need, which is a contradiction and a multi-layered unity of biological and social sources and the content of experience. The leading direction of action of the need is another person, which requires a completely different understanding of both the very essence of the individual's life and the laws of the genesis of its existence and implementation. The quintessence of the need presented in the mind of a person is the experience of love for another person, which globally motivates the personality and determines its beginning and continuation. The traditional questions of personality psychology and its structure and formation are considered in the book in the context of the leading methodological paradigm and open up new ideas and patterns.
