Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of advanced postgraduate training for specialists whose activities are related to solving professionally important tasks aiming to protect the population against hazardous factors of the natural and man-made origin. The author emphasizes the need to carry out an empirical research on this problem. From the methodological standpoint, the general structure of scientific research in pedagogy is considered. The article raises issues regarding the methodology and logic applicable to the study of civil security professionals’ advanced training system, substantiates the result obtained and the method applied to obtain such result. The research methodology on the theory and methods of advanced training for civil security specialists provides insight into the following aspects: the initial provisions for the research, the state of the scientific problem development in the scientific literature and pedagogical practice; hindsight into the establishment of the advanced training system for civil security specialists in Ukraine; author’s concept of advanced training for civil security specialists in the course of postgraduate education; factors, principles, pedagogical conditions, forms, methods, technologies of advanced training for civil security specialists with a ready model of their advanced training, following the main target – increasing the effectiveness of advanced training of civil security specialists, which is a comprehensive didactic system; pedagogical system of advanced training for civil security specialists in the course of postgraduate education and experimentally tested effectiveness thereof. The research methods and logic allow us to identify objective patterns in the examined pedagogical phenomenon, purposefully change the organizational and pedagogical conditions that affect the training of civil security professionals in the system of postgraduate education, thus increasing its effectiveness.
