Abstract

The publication reveals the essence of the syndrome of emotional burnout, firstly, as a result of stress that a person is unable to control and the subconscious accumulation of negative emotions; secondly, as a complex structural and dynamic formation that is formed in the process of pedagogical activity and is a negative effect of professionalization; thirdly, as a mechanism of psychological protection in the form of complete or partial exclusion of personal emotions in response to selected psycho-traumatic influences. The consequences of emotional burnout and methods of comprehensive psychological assistance to persons diagnosed with the specified syndrome are revealed.
