Abstract
Reforming of educational system involves re-thinking of its content and updating of methods, forms and tools according to purposes of competence-oriented learning. The results of teacher’s survey on using of visualization in primary school educational process show not full understanding of the meaning of visual literacy concept. We state the importance of pointing the primary school teacher’s attention on actuality and expediency of using of methods of visualization in educational process, necessity of student’s visual literacy formation on the basis of competence, activity and personally-oriented approaches.
