Abstract

In theses, attention is focused on the essence of the concept of "independent work of students", and its own interpretation is proposed. The stages of independent educational activity, conditions for its effective use are listed. Classifications of types of independent work of students, proposed by various scientists, are considered. Variants of the application of independent work of students in the process of learning the Ukrainian language as a state language are described.
