Abstract

The article reflects the educational ideas of M.P. Kulish on the analysis of his pedagogical heritage. The educational-national position of the educator is shown; the position of a scientist of an educational nature is presented. The relevance of the problem in this direction is substantiated and it is proved that the scientific and educational activities of P. Kulish are multifaceted, and one of its components is journalism, editorial and publishing. It is characterized by high professionalism, versatility, educational vector, patriotism. It was the printed word, capable of awakening national consciousness and shaping national feelings, that the Enlightener attached exceptional importance to in the national liberation struggle. P. Kulish was looking for acceptable ways to implement his publishing plans in order to educate the Ukrainian people and form a national consciousness. The scientist saw the salvation of the Ukrainian nation, the preservation of culture and identity, social harmony in the revival of the native word. With all his work, works, he defended the Ukrainian language, defended teaching it in schools, believing that this would form national feelings among the younger generation. It was found out that the educational activity, the creative work of P. Kulish was aimed at enriching the culture and education of the Ukrainian people. It has been established that the leading role in the work of Panteleimon Kulish belongs to education - a specially organized social process aimed at developing personal socially positive values, needs, character traits, knowledge, skills and abilities. Education according to Panteleimon Kulish is the main factor in the development of the child's personality, thanks to which the program of his socialization is implemented, natural potential and inclinations are developed. It is determined that the methods of family education, family discipline became the subject of P. Kulish's pedagogical considerations. Correctly organized and consistent, and not disorderly discipline, built on trusting communication and persuasion, and not on control and punishment, is based on democratic relations between parents and children, on the absence of permissiveness and despotism - determines the positive moral development of the child. The views of P. Kulish on family preschool education testify to his deep understanding of the importance of the educational influence of the family on the development of the child's personality, especially in the period from birth to entering school, the basis of which is folk wisdom. The scientist attached special importance to this stage. After all, upbringing in the family is a strong foundation for the integral process of forming a person's moral qualities and social behavior. It has been established that P. Kulish expressed constructive views on preschool childhood as an important prerequisite for the formation of personality, pointed out the special moments of the educational process at an early age, thereby supplementing the national pedagogical thought with progressive ideas on the theory of preschool education. It is proved that P. Kulish paid special attention to the issue of schools in Ukraine. According to P. Kulish, the school is one of the main institutions of the socialization of the individual, so the goal of the educational process should have been the development of the mental inclinations and thinking of the child, the creation of favorable conditions for his entry into society and adaptation to the environment, as well as the formation of the national consciousness of the younger generation , based on the traditions of the Ukrainian people and their national and ethnic characteristics.
