Abstract

The relevance of the study: it is seen in the need to determine the psycholinguistic significance of the concept of psychological security. Aim: based on an applied psycholinguistic study to describe the psycholinguistic value of the verbalized concept of "safety". Methods. The main method of research was a psycholingvistic experiment, the main stage of which was free associative experiment (FAE) with the word-incentive "Security". Additional methods were a survey (to clarify the results of the FAE), the questionnaire (to clarify the sample characteristics). Frequency analysis was used among mathematics and statistical methods for analyzing the research results. Results. The result of the conducted research was a description of the psycholinguistic significance of the concept of "safety". It is determined that the word "safety" is associated with: home, сalm, protection, family, comfort. It forms a semantic space of resources, well-being and comfort, associated with social institutions and protection and self-defense. Conclusions. The results of the psycholinguistic experiment showed that the verbalized concept of "safety" in the daily linguistic consciousness of future psychologists, which are bilinguals, is expressed in connection with the near periphery ("House", "Calm", "Protection", "Comfort"). The associative field of the concept of "security" are represented by seven, reflected in peripheral psycholinguistic values - "families", "protection", "comfort", "heat", "heat", "reliability" and plural values of the extreme periphery. In general, the results obtained are confirmed in a foreign study devoted to the analysis and description of the concept of "safety", which is characterized by several semantic levels, high-frequency associates of such semantics.
