Abstract

The abstracts of the report presented at the International scientific and practical online conference "Psychology of Crisis Situations: Science and Practice" (Kyiv, November 4-6, 2021) analyze the specifics of experiencing fear during ordinary and professional communication in a remote format, which rapidly spread due to restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Examples of 4 fears that are actualized in the conditions of remote interaction are given, and their features are described. Namely, the transformation of such social fears as: 1) fear of one’s own incompetence, failure; 2) fear of loss of self-image or fear of evaluation; 3) fear of being unheard or incomprehensible; 4) fear of responsibility online. In this way it is shown that the conditions of remote interaction require not only the acquisition of new skills and abilities, but also the awareness and coping of one’s own specific emotional experiences arising in virtual fellowship.
