Abstract

The author of the article proved that the main mechanisms for ensuring the quality of teacher education in the EU are: quality control at all stages of learning on the basis of competency approach; support for novice teachers and programs mobility; standard of activity as a basis of teacher skills; evaluation of the activities of education and training providers, basic principles quality management in teacher education, standards and recommendations for quality assurance in the EHEA; planning and management system SCORECARD; external and internal quality assessment, etc.
