Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the results of a survey of graduates of an experimental educational institution, Lyceum № 17 in Khmelnytsky on the impact of various factors on the choice of lyceum students profile of study. It is shown that the most influential factors in choosing the profile of education are teachers, representatives of higher education institutions and the system of pre-professional training. Profiling can be based on parental interests and market conditions. Lyceum students call the most optimal models of specialized education in the fields of activity and the system of preparation for university entrance. Most lyceum students do not consider the traditional subject model of the organization of specialized education existing at the secondary schools to be expedient. The current transitional model of specialized education does not always implement the individual order of the student for his education in accordance with the needs of society.
