Abstract

This manual is devoted to the problems of teaching children with intellectual disabilities in primary school. The interested reader will find here a detailed psychological and pedagogical description of children in this category and a description of the difficulties faced by teachers and educators. The priority directions of activity of teachers and ways of the decision of problems are defined. The manual contains useful information about the special needs of young students, technologies and methods of working with children with intellectual disabilities. The authors also get acquainted with readers with the didactic conditions of forming a child's personality in the New Ukrainian School, give useful advice. The publication is addressed to teachers and assistants of primary school teachers who work with children with intellectual disabilities, students of specialized higher education institutions and parents of children with special educational needs.
