Abstract

The definition of "encyclopedia" is given. It is stated that the electronic encyclopedia should be filled with scientifically verified information from reliable sources with bibliographic references, following the standard of metadata DCMI (Dublin Core Metadata Initiative - Dublin Core Metadata Initiative) to describe its scientific background. The stages of designing an electronic encyclopedia of the electronic educational environment of an educational institution are detailed.
