Abstract

The article analyzes the theoretical aspects of the phenomenon of professional stress, its types and role in the professional activity of a correctional teacher. The author presents the most important results of experimental study of the levels of manifestations of professional stress of teachers who work with children with special educational needs, and psychological factors of its occurrence. The sample of the study consisted of 60 correctional teachers (3 men and 57 women) aged 20 to 67, who work in special institutions, inclusive classes, inclusive resource centers of Ukraine. To achieve the goal of the study, a system of methods was used: theoretical (theoretical analysis, synthesis, classification of scientific sources, comparison and generalization of theoretical research data); empirical (psychodiagnostics), data processing methods (generalization and systematization of qualitative and quantitative data of psychodiagnostics). The following methods were used in psychodiagnostics: The method of "Burnout Syndrome" in the professions of the system "man-man" (GS Nikiforov) (option for teachers); Methodology "Professional Stress" (J. Greenberg), "The Big Three Perfectionism Scale" (The Big Three Perfectionism Scale) (authors - M. Smith, D. Saklofsky, J. Stoeber, S. Sherry in the adaptation of T. Rough). was held on the basis of the Special Boarding School №5 named after YP Batyuk, Kyiv, which was attended by 60 correctional teachers (3 men and 57 women) aged 20 to 67 years. In the course of the research we determined that none of the respondents has a low level of occupational stress, mostly medium (81%) and less often high (19%). The results of correlation analysis show that the respondents have occupational stress directly correlates with depersonalization and emotional exhaustion at the middle level and at the low level has an inverse correlation with the depth of professional activity. We have determined that most correctional teachers are prone to the development of perfectionism in work, which can also affect the formation of chronic occupational stress of the employee.
