Abstract
Key competencies are the basis for the design of social and professional development of high school students, which aims to form a high level of readiness to realize personal and civic significant goals in a globalized space on the basis of increasing the level of competitiveness. Social and professional development is considered as a continuous process aimed at the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and professional formation of the individual through a phased individual expression in the system of its motives of the fundamental need for knowledge and the use of the knowledge gained for the formation of an active component of the psychological sphere with the aim of professional interaction in the process of developing a socially significant product of work.
