Abstract
General psychological and methodological requirements for the selection of educational texts, task system and methodological apparatus of mathematics textbooks are offered. It is proved that the implementation of the proposed requirements ensures the accessibility, practice-oriented orientation of the textbooks content and contributes to the creative development of students.
