Abstract

The article analyzes the conceptual approaches to the psychological content of self-actualization as a factor of an individual’s self-realization. This is a process that results in an individual’s systemic transformation. A mature person’s behavior is characterized by a more generalized self-awareness, adequate self-esteem, the ability to regulate their actions not only under the influence of circumstances, but also independently, a more general and distant goal, internal incentives, regulating activities, the formed need for self-creation as one of the manifestations of self-activity. It has been experimentally proven that self-regulation is possible if an individual, in addition to the ability to adequately reflect and model an existing situation, is able to transform their own activities (external and internal) according to the model of the expected situation.
