Abstract

One of classical methods of teaching, which was strongly transformed and improved according to competence approach in education, is conversation. According to the modern interpretation, it could be considered like effective method of oral Ukrainian speech teaching for children from national communities, whose languages are closely related to the state language. The use of conversation in the educational practice of preschool and primary education institutions corresponds to the principle of continuity of the educational process, develops the child’s personality, forms the ability to communicate in the Ukrainian language and communicative competence. Subject to appropriate content filling of texts for processing, this method promotes the involvement of national communities’ children in Ukrainian culture, helps forming of a secondary linguistic personality.
