Abstract

An analytical section of foreign and domestic experience helped to identify that the forms of class work available in the methodology of teaching geography using the scientific heritage of scientists in secondary schools is a phenomenon episodic, unsystematic, with insufficient regard for students. Teachers continue to pay much attention to the knowledge element and less to the competency approach ("consisting of knowledge, skills, experience, values and attitudes that can be fully implemented in practice"). But the new time requires new ideas, new practical solutions to improve the methodological arsenal of pedagogical science and practice.
