Abstract

The monograph highlights the theoretical and methodological approach that is relevant for the study of the formation and development of the concept of "personality" and personal teachings-historical hermeneutics. The use of this theoretical and methodological basis of research makes it possible to analyze the paradigmatic origins and historical phenomenology of the formation of the concept of "personality". The highlighted analytical material and developed scientific approach reveals the structure and content of the concept of "personality", reflecting the evolution of scientific views on the phenomenon of personality, in particular the influence of cultural and historical factors on the conceptualization of "personality" in Ukrainian psychological thought (value-semantic representations, ethical and moral attitudes and behavioral practices). Thanks to the analysis of primary sources – philosophical and psychological works – the types of framework approaches to the conceptualization of the concept of "personality" are identified, which are reflected in the corpus of texts. A change in the dominant approaches to the conceptualization of the concept of "personality" caused by a change in the theoretical and methodological base used by Ukrainian authors (philosophers and psychologists) is revealed. The genesis of the concept of "personality", the concept of personality and personological teachings in Ukrainian psychology are understood. The innovative nature of the scientific results presented in this paper opens up broad prospects for their further widespread implementation with a pronounced positive socially significant effect. The monograph is addressed to university teachers, practical psychologists, scientific psychologists, teachers, students, heads of institutions and organizations, and postgraduates.
