Abstract

The thesis considers modern approaches to vocational training of future tourism agents. Professional duties of tourism agents proved to be closely related to informational and analytical activity. The thesis studies theoretical and methodological fundamentals of formation of informational and analytical competence of future tourism agents at vocational schools. The author presents the 7 analysis of scientific resources, normative legal documents concerning the extent of related problem development. It is found out that vocational training of future tourism agents prior did not undergo a holistic scientific research, neither did the issues of forming informational and analytical competence. Some available discrepancies between the requirements of postindustrial society to the quality of future specialists in the tourism sphere and insufficient level of provision of adequate pedagogical conditions at vocational schools; increased needs of tourism enterprises in travel agents able to work effectively with information products, and insufficiency of the modern pattern of their training at vocational schools; the need in target-based formation of informational and analytical competence of future tourism agents and inappropriate methods aimed for this purpose available at vocational schools.
