Abstract
The article is devoted to the formation of a secondary Ukrainian-speaking personality, which is one of the key aspects in the implementation of a competency-based approach to teaching the Ukrainian as a state language, in particular in primary school. Knowledge of the Ukrainian language presupposes its mastery not only on the level of the language code, but also the integration of the individual, who studies it, into Ukrainian culture.
