Abstract

In the article the consideration of this problem is structured as follows: general aspects of the understanding problem, peculiarities of its functioning in the information space, extremely critically overloaded with various information in all its’ genres and scales, the attempt of a preliminary analysis of human research, human essence as such in psychological dimensions, which we use in theoretical and methodological terms in this work. We are talking primarily about the psychological essence of understanding, understanding as a system-forming structure of mental activity, understanding in the manifestations of incomplete, incorrect, inadequate understanding, misunderstanding (note that in the psychological dimension misunderstanding is organically “intertwined” with the problem of understanding and its determinants and consequences. It is easy to see, they can have no less significant results – mostly, of course, in a negative way. Especially important for us is the autonomous aspect: understanding as a creative process, a product of the creative process, which will be discussed specifically in one of our next articles. Since the problem of understanding is not only interested in psychologists, let's look for a general focus on the range of its analysis in the works of philosophers, who in particular identify the following components of the understanding problem: understanding in the structure of scientific consciousness; understanding and practical consciousness; understanding in history as a history of understanding; the concept of understanding, the metaphor of understanding; understanding and text; hermeneutics and natural sciences; understanding and experiment in science; the paradox of empathy; communication without an individual; understanding and creativity; cognition as reflection and understanding; whether mutual understanding can be achieved; depth of understanding depends on the maturity of the individual; to understand another person; constructive and natural in understanding.
