Abstract

The article considers the factors that influence the quality of life of the population and determines the assessment of life satisfaction in modern conditions. We consider quality of life as a level of satisfaction with needs that are associated with many areas of life. At the same time, the quality of life indicators are a subjective and objective approach. Quality of life can be understood in three main ways. First, there is the wealth or purchasing power of citizens, and the quality and accessibility of goods provided in the community including education, healthcare, parks, public roads, air, and water. A supplement to this first category are social and political goods, such as democracy, rule of law, political and religious freedom, the lack of discrimination, and a sense of community. The term ‘quality of life’ is used to denotes different meanings. The following three main notions can be discerned: quality of environment, quality of performance, quality of the result. It is determined that the assessment of quality of life and satisfaction with one's own life influences the development of personal hardiness. The results of life satisfaction are analyzed and it is determined that financial support has the most significant impact on the quality of life of a person. The study of quality of life is an important method of integral assessment of the basic aspects of human life, and also allows to solve a number of topical problems in different spheres of human life. Therefore, scientific and practical developments on issues of research into the quality of the individual’s life remain a priority area of psychological science.
