Abstract

In the article, the author draws readers’ attention to the main problem of secondary education – the provision of quality educational services to students. We especially believe that the provision of quality educational services depends not only on the teacher and teaching staff, but also on the location of the educational institution (city, district, village, etc.), social status of the student’s family, type of general secondary education, curricula, logistics (Internet, gadgets, textbooks, etc.), tests of students’ knowledge from control to diagnosis, etc. Evaluating the quality of the effectiveness of educational services in general secondary education institutions should be ensured by obtaining objective information about the level of their provision. The entry of Ukrainian education (including secondary education) into the European space has caused a problem of revision of traditional methods of quality control of the quality of educational services in education in Ukraine, including secondary education. In the conditions of authoritarian upbringing the control over the quality of knowledge of only the student was analyzed, then under the new conditions it is necessary to analyze the joint activity of the student and the teacher. Diagnostics subordinates traditional methods of control to the humanistic goal and directs to new student relations. The teacher must have modern diagnostic techniques, take an active part in mastering them.
