Abstract

The paper considers the issue of forming students' verbal competence during the acquaintance with the embroidered shirt as a talisman of the Ukrainian people. In particular, examples of formation and improvement of orthoepic and grammatical skills and abilities of students, examples of vocabulary work, tasks for the formation of auditory skills, skills of dialogic and monologue speech are given. It is concluded that these tasks are interesting for students and have a positive impact on the formation of their verbal competence.
