Abstract

The article reflects the organization and training of children with hearing impairments in a special school, in Kiev; shows the organization of training for children with hearing impairments Nina Konstantinovna Patkanova-Krankovskaya; the contribution of her as a special teacher in the functioning and development of the «Kiev school-orphanage for deaf-mute children»; her special, methodical and educational work with children who had hearing impairments are characterized and highlighted. It is proved that the problems in the organization and development of the educational process of children with hearing impairments were extremely «interesting» for N.K. Patkanova-Krankovskaya, because «she lived the life of a deaf-mute child» giving her a chance to hear at a level with the hearing; established its capabilities and impulse to deaf education as a science; the conceptual foundations in the work and persistence of N. K. Patkanova-Krankovskaya as a special teacher; shows her special attitude towards children with hearing impairments; it was established that the special teacher had a clearly directed, formed, and then systematized training in a special educational institution; it was confirmed that the «Kiev Shelter School for Deaf Children» was under the reliable guardianship of N. Patkanova-Krankovskaya.
