Abstract
In article one of forms of optimization of educational process – carrying out excursion is described works using the works of famous geographers. Our own scenario of a school excursion for 8th grade students on the territory of the Geological Museum of Taras Shevchenko National University was proposed, where Pavlo Tutkovsky was a director.
