Abstract

The work examines the actual problem of professional hardiness and analyzes the experimental study conducted at trade union organizations subordinated to the Kyiv City Council of Trade Unions. We studied the features of trade union workers’ professional hardiness at the performed experimental study. The analysis of the obtained data determined the trade union workers’ general hardiness, as well as the peculiarities of relationships between the constituents and components of the examined professional hardiness. The analyzed results has led to the conclusion that since the overwhelming majority of the respondents demonstrated average or higher than average professional hardiness, but none of them showed really high hardiness. Thus, it would be useful to provide psychological assistance to the surveyed employees for the development of their professional hardiness. Because all indicators and components of professional hardiness were higher than the average at the examined sample, we can conclude that this surveyed group of specialists had sufficiently developed professional skills and life experience, and their professionally important qualities and professional competence were developed highly enough. The analyzed correlation matrix revealed that all constituents and components of professional hardiness were closely interrelated and determined the overall level of trade union workers’ professional hardiness.
