Abstract

Scientific education is recognized by European politicians as a top priority. Over the past few years, technological advances (such as smartphones and tablets) and innovative applications (such as data analysis tools, simulations, augmented reality and virtual reality interfaces) have expanded and enriched current science education curricula. In addition, a large number of digital science resources have become available worldwide through the collections of science museums and digital repositories.
