Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of psychological assistance to individuals in crisis conditions of public life. The destructive personality traits as the psychological consequences of the pathogenic influence of extreme factors on the personality are examined in detail, the criteria of psychological health and the directions of psychological assistance of a modern person are highlighted.
