Abstract

The section of the manual reveals the theoretical aspect of applying the bilingual approach (Ukrainian Sign Language and Ukrainian Language) for special institutions (H 90) and the practical aspect of the formation of sign language communicative competence in bilingual conditions in the 2nd class of the subject "Ukrainian Language" on the example of understanding texts in directions: "Text features research" (Orienteering exercises); "Text types research" (Orienteering exercises); "Text structure research" (Orienteering exercises); "Text Improvement" (Orienteering exercises). Acquisition of bilingual competencies with specific skills developed based on the program of the New Ukrainian School (O. Savchenko, 2018) and the Ukrainian language textbook for Grade 2 for special secondary education institutions (H 90) (S. Kulbida, 2019).
