Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of a phenomenon of spiritual determination of characterological development of youth personality. On the basis of an experimental research of spiritual sphere and a degree of a harmony of character of modern senior pupils and students the author allocates psychological laws of influence of spirituality for process characterological development of young men and girls. Spirituality is the important factor of garmonization of character in youth. However, the spiritual potential of the personality not always positively correlates with a harmony of its character, because a process of harmonization of character is not linear: it has periodicity of harmonious rise and crisis. The crisis periods are accompanied expressed disharmony of character and promotes socially-psychological dіsadaptation of personality. The experimental research of a spiritual level and degree of a harmony of character of modern Ukrainian youth has shown, that spiritual persons which have a characterological disharmonious prevails among all layers of youth. 20 % of youth have a low level of spirituality and harmony of character. It is very high percent of young men and girls which are in «a zone of risk». They are potentially psychopathic persons. They have an emotional discomfort and dіsharmonizes а sphere of interpersonal relations around them, because they have not own psychological mechanisms of spiritual development and have no moral attitudes to other people. Only under condition of continuous spiritual development and continuous moral struggle of the personality against own imperfection there is a gradual harmonization of character according to a spiritually and moral ideal.
