Abstract

In the publication the author focuses on the problem of moral and patriotic education of the future teacher of primary school. It is proved that the teacher must solve the problem ofpatriotic education of students through the formation of universal values of their pupils. It is found that solving this important problem is organically connected with the rethinking of the professional training of the future teacher of primary school. That is why its content should be directed to the moral.and patriotic education, the formation of universal values in the studying and educational process, which will contribute to the future professional development of the younger students of moral feelings, citizenship and patriotism. The author proves that the basis of the modern educational process should be Man as the highest value, and the content of education should be directed to the development of value moral attitude of the individual to the social and natural environment of the world and to itself. It is determined that the basis of moral and patriotic education are universal values, among which are faith, hope, love, dignity, integrity, truthfulness, perfection, honesty, mercy, life, justice, etc. The formation of the value attitude of the future teacher of primary school is aimed at the free selfdevelopment of the individual, the preservation of his individuality, the upbringing of such a patriot, who is capable of ensuring a high level of development of the state's culture, its prestige and a worthy place in a civilized world. This will allow him in future professional activities to promote the development of younger students of moral feelings, citizenship and patriotism. The main responsibility of the primary school teacher is to affirm the principles of universal morals in junior pupils.
