Abstract
Сlassification of the motives of political behavior and political participation, suggested by national investigators are considered in the article. Approaches of foreign researchers to classification of motives of political interaction are analyzed. The author distinguishes following types of motives of political interaction: selective, social, purposive, orientational, quasimotives, power motives, and achievement motives. Author’s typology of political interaction motives, which is based on the type of needs of a subject, is proposed. Key words: motives, political interaction, incentives, needs.
