Abstract
The results of the Ukrainian study "Ukrainian Reading Publishing Data 2018", conducted in 2018 in Ukraine, are presented in the paper. National and regional reading support and development programs are briefly outlined. It is concluded that the problem of reading is not only a pedagogical, but also a social, nationwide problem.
