Abstract

Three needs of the self-determination theory and their mutual relations are considered as a basis s for a subjective sense of happiness. Every person who is concerned with the problem of their own development, self-determination, achievement of life goals, must find their own point on the scale of personal autonomy - relatedness, depending on the individual characteristics and requirements of the society in which they live. At the same time, the need for competence is the instrumental basis necessary to meet the other two needs.
