Abstract

Educators in many countries use B. Bloom's taxonomy not only as a tool for planning lesson goals, but also as a basis for developing students' critical thinking, as the high levels of thinking they predict correlate with critical thinking thinking operations. Teacher planning and learning outcomes, based on taxonomy, and their achievement with the help of current didactic tools, helps the teacher and the student to clearly imagine the specific methodological steps of developing students' critical thinking. Questions of various levels based on B. Bloom's taxonomy can be effectively used in the lessons of Ukrainian history to develop critical thinking. Using them, the teacher can direct students' thinking, "transfer" them from one level to another, higher. An important tool for the history teacher is the so-called Bloom Taxonomy Action verbs. On this basis, the teacher formulates cognitive tasks of different levels and plans appropriate individual and group activities of students. Taxonomy also serves as a basis for students to create comprehensive educational projects. The combination of these tools creates a learning environment that provides effective development of students' thinking in history lessons.
