Abstract
The concept of economic education in basic and high schools in Ukraine is created as a framework document that defines the key vectors of economic development in the school, which examines the key modern aspects of economic education on the basis of courses that cover comprehensive, in terms of economics study of macro and micro economic processes. The concept highlights the current trends in the development of the subject of economics, which should initiate a discussion on improving and updating the relevant sections of the State educational standards, and they, in turn, new educational programs. The main aspects of the dialectical interdependence of various concepts that exist in Ukraine are covered and substantiated, the psychological-pedagogical and didactic foundations and methodological features of economics education in gymnasiums and lyceums are highlighted. In addition to forming a system of economic concepts and competences, the Concept examines modern and innovative approaches to the educational process and the educational process in terms of the educational component.
