Abstract

The article describes the phenomenon of "seattlefri" as a movement, a subculture, a freely chosen lifestyle and the ideology of the conscious reluctance of people or families to have children; Types of representatives of the Chayldfry movement are presented, their features are highlighted, the reasons and motives of voluntary childlessness are highlighted and their position of life is characterized. The “childfree” movement is considered as a new social phenomenon, inherent in Ukraine, which is formed by people who consciously do not need and do not have the desire to have children. Attention is drawn to the fact that Western democratic society, to which Ukrainian society seeks to integrate, enables an individual to make his own free choice in all spheres of his life activity.
